About this book
This book begins with close observation: the child copies the cartoon square by square using the grid, then sees the complete picture take shape. The Draw by Grid series is intended for ages 5 and up. Invented creatures free a young artist from trying to match the colors of a real animal.
The finished drawing can then be colored with the child’s own patterns and palette. Choose this format when they enjoy a visual copying challenge; it does not provide ready-to-color pages or the outline-first activity of Trace Then Color.
