About this book
This book begins with close observation: the child copies the cartoon square by square using the grid, then sees the complete picture take shape. The Draw by Grid series is intended for ages 5 and up. Small changes around the eyes and mouth can give each completed face a different comic mood.
The finished drawing can then be colored with the child’s own patterns and palette. Choose this format when they enjoy a visual copying challenge; it does not provide ready-to-color pages or the outline-first activity of Trace Then Color.
